Very proud and happy today: after some work done by one of the long-term staff members here, including setting up a somewhat informal group to discuss retention, things at Woodstock have shuffled, changed, and adapted: a new teacher’s compensation scheme was released today. Everyone will shift – it’s not a uniform percentage raise – but in the case of Adam, it will be a significant increase. Double was what it would mean for us to be willing to extend the contract – and we talked about it tonight, and decided we’ll sign the new contract and stay until July 2014. After that is still up in the air, but this was sufficient (and while not double) for us to say “yes, we’ll stay”.
